Everyone remembers going to the CD store in the late 90’s and seeing those brightly-colored, day-glow cd packages from the label No Limit Records. Headed by Master P, the label was notorious for dropping new albums every week and bringin you the finest in dirty south hip hop.
I used to buy all the disks regardless if I had heard of the artist, because you were guaranteed at least one or two tracks worth bumping in your civic.
Some of my favorites were the OG TRU crew’s first CD, Souljah Slim, Silkkk The Shocker and C Murder.
Just as soon as No Limit established itself as an empire, it crumbled before our eyes. Most of us had forgotten about this fallen empire, but Mike Jones has been waiting for his chance to express his feelings… That time has come.
