So this weekend is known as the “superbowl” of Alleycats and track bike events in NYC. Monstertrack has been going strong for years and this now, in it’s 9th round, the race was been canceled. The organizers felt that with recent events, it would be best to lay the race to rest. What used to be the OG alleycat has turned commercial and was going to draw an estimated 300 racers this year, all wielding bikes without brakes through the city in a Death Race 2000 format.

There are rumors floating about that Monstertrack will go back to its roots and be exactly what it was supposed to be; underground (no fliers, no internet presence, simply put, word of mouth!), unsponsored and illegal. Who knows what is to come in the future but this weekend is still on! Mishka is kicking out gear for the Goldsprints and Side Events, so come out and watch some of the D.A.R.T team break their bikes.
