I don’t remember why but we were discussing Encino Man yesterday but all I could think about during this talk was this discussion my friends and I had one morning while we waited for the bus to take us to school. The consensus was that we felt that Pauly Shore’s “Buuudddeeee” would totally over take the Wayne & Garth’s “Not” as the cool thing to say from a movie. How wrong and utterly stupid we were.

I watched Encino Man on Monday evening and brought up the entertaining aspect of seeing how early 90s California street culture was interpreted and typecast throughout the movie. Of course, the conversation quickly turned to what a “character” Pauly Shore was in not only Encino Man but basically his entire (short-lived) career.

I think I was talking to Mathhead about Pauly Shore the other day, I don’t really remember who it was, but I do remember the segments during the spring breaks on MTV when Pauly was stuck on some dudes farm and how excruciating it was compared to watching girls dancing in bikinis at the beach on The Grind.
