I figure that between Mike Jones and I, we probably log about 40 hours + a week looking on eBay. Thus I see fit to start a new category on the ever evolving Bloglin.

Last night I was searching “Puppet”, and this bad boy came up. Indiana Jones Burnt Nazi Soldier Puppet fr/ ROLA Item number: 270255987209. As fans of the original Indiana Jones series, this auction is awesome enough just upon first glance. Burnt Nazi prop dolls from Raiders of the Lost Ark… how can you go wrong with an item like that? However, after taking a closer look at the item description I realized that this wasn’t just a generic prop doll, instead it was a 12″ Kenner Han Solo doll, custom modified by ILM. Why buy a MacBook Pro when you could cop this bad boy?!

I think this what’s known as a scam. People post Millenium Falcon toys all of the time and claim that they’re THE prop from the movie. One time I was looking at a Superman doll and the guy working there had the gall to tell me that the obviously screenprinted face that was a portrait of Christopher Reeves was in fact “handpainted by the guy that drew the comic.”
