Dudes… WTF!? :(
I know you’ve put out a bunch of beyond crappy albums over the last decade but I had some hope here. First Kirk grows his hair back long, then you go back to your old logo, the new album’s cover art is pretty fucking wicked and then you go and get Rick Rubin to produce the whole damn thing and THIS is what you’ve got show for it!? WTF!? This sounds like Silverchair with a crappy Metallica cover band solo at the end!

I think I got 2 chords into the single and turned it off. After Master of Puppets they basically had a creative stroke and after that it’s been palsied drool. Pass.
What I find more amazing is how Testament could come out of ‘retirement’ and produce one of the most killer albums in years. And I do believe that they are roughly the same age, if not older, than these guys.

the day that never comes will be the day that metallica stops sucking

That was so empty sounding. It sounded like they were playing toy instruments.

Quote of the day: “the day that never comes will be the day that metallica stops sucking”
Yesterday’s quote: “epic wigger monster wrecks new york city in a quest for hip-hop supremecy and racial inequality.”

hahaha this isnt the first time hammets grown his hair out and everyone was like ohhhh shit here comes the metal. it didnt happen last time, sorry if the duped you again.
my advice….keep to the old shit, try not to let it get played out, and live in the past. deny their existence after puppets

I’m not going to deny their existence after Puppets. I think long enough time has passed to take the “Sell-Out” tag off of “And Justice…” and see it for a great album. You can chalk it up to me being really young when it came out but I really then and now don’t undersatnd How “And Justice…” really deviated from their previous albums that caused such an uproar and hate? I still think the song “And Justice”, “Eye of the Beholder”, “Harvester of Sorrow” & “Shortest Straw” are some of the best songs the band has ever done. What was such a sell-out with this album, the video for “One”? Big deal!
The Black album is the Black album, commercial-radio metal, but the best commercial-radio metal ever made. It’s everything afterwards when they turned into an alterna-hard rock band that’s awful.

I refuse to turn off Electric Wizard to listen to Metallica.
