Yeah, Weird Science by Oingo Boingo is the jam. Sure,  Everyday is Halloween by Ministry gives you credibility with goth sluts, and it’s widely known that most songs by the Cramps are known to cause teen pregnancy.   BUT, the greatest Halloween song of all time is Werewolf Bar Mitzvah by Tracy Morgan.   This is the highest quality full length i could find of the song.  If anyone has it at 192 or higher,  please send it to the Mishka offices.

After seeing the influx of Mishka inspired pumpkin carvings, I thought I’d dive into a stack of old drawings last night and see if I couldn’t dig up the sketch that has become our hallowed Keep Watch eye. What I didn’t expect to find was this amalgamation of ideas, all consolidated on one lovely, ripped up piece of paper. As you can see, you only get the most professional work from me.

Those of you that have been following Mishka for awhile might even recognize that faded centerpiece as an early sketch of the Wild Thing graphic. This was before I was a permanent fixture here in the office, and I’d often scatter designs across a collection of loose pages and sketchbooks.

Oh, and if any of you are wondering, that’s a puddle of period blood.

Another pumpkin rolled intoday via our Facebook account. This time it’s of the Death Adder Bear by Antonio Silva . Lets get a Simon going people!

Upon my flickr travels I found a pretty sick photo set from this dude.  It is his archived collection of late 70′s to early 80′s metal shows, ticket stubs, backstage passes, flyers and just awesome awesome photos in general.

This is almost two months old…I hope Prolly hasn’t seen it yet…omg, omg, omg…

We’re getting closer to Halloween and with that comes more and more Mishka themed pumpkin carvings! I have to marvel at the patience and the submitters ability to do these because I suck at carving pumpkins! The above of our Bear Mop was done by Kristen’s boyfriend which she sent in.

This Keep Watch inspired pumpkin was done by Nathan Dunn. Kudos to both of you guys and hopefully we’ll be seeing some more as we get closer and closer to Samhain! Now lets start seeing some tattoos! I can’t even begin to count how many emails we get saying “Oh I got this tattooed on me!” or “Can you send me this artwork because I want to get it tattooed”. We’ve still to see any inked proof though!

What happened to the days when all it took was being an art school grad with a photo blog and some Jager?
