Beasts! Book 2
Beasts! 2 is finally coming out. To boot, Fantagraphics is releasing a special softcover edition of the first book to make all us assholes who chased down the original hardcover feel like douches.
Hopefully this isn’t news to any of you, as you’re already big fans and owners of the original Beasts! book. If, for some reason, you have no idea what I’m talking about, check out the video above and head over to Fantagraphics’ Flickr page and get some inside scoop-ness.
Not only is this an incredible collection of contemporary artists, it takes the whole cryptozoology thing to the next level (read: the fake, illustrated level, but still). A great gift for yourself or somebody else just as weird.

It’s hard to compete with Book 1′s roster, but I’m pretty stoked to check it out. :) Jay Ryan’s and Jordan Crane’s submissions from the last book were especially critical. Josh Cochran’s and a few others (that I can’t remember) too.
