Did you see the Bowie Video Retrospective at MoMA on Tuesday? Thurston Moore hosted the event and provided commentary.

Somewhat more entertaining than when Thurston Moore & Ian MacKaye discussed indie music for an hour at the Brooklyn Book Festival in September. Was that the impetus for “Choice Is Yours Vol 2″? Their best back-and-forth from the Book Festival came towards the end:
“MacKaye broke in and told everyone that Thurston Moore had told a lot of lies about Fugazi, just as he’d been trying to lie about how they first met. He said Moore had told a magazine that Sonic Youth were in their bus driving to a gig and saw Fugazi’s van broken down on the side of the road. They consulted with each other about whether or not to stop, and Moore said to just keep driving. Moore corrected him, though, saying he’d told the magazine he saw the broken down Fugazi van and Sonic Youth drove by throwing $5 bills out the window – in reference to Fugazi’s flat rate of $5 entry to all their shows.”
