Tracy Morgan Wants Your Money
I fully endorse anything Tracy Morgan does. Shit, I even paid to go see Little Man because he was in it. Word just came in Morgan will be starring in and producing Freshman Roommates, a comedy about those Nigerian email scams you have to be 60 years old to fall for. From Variety:
“Freshman Roommates” asks the question what if one of the emails isn’t a scam. Story kicks off when a young man answers one such email during a drunken stupor. Soon thereafter, the spoiled son of a deposed African dictator (Morgan) shows up at his door, looking to secure his inheritance.
This sounds like an updated version of Coming to America. Morgan has already locked down TV with 30 Rock, but he’s yet to achieve that comic stardom that many feel he deserves. I think he’s a genius, but he’s too much of a loose cannon to be some kind of Hollywood darling. But something tells me Morgan doesn’t give a fuck about what the media thinks. For instance, I saw him last winter at the Comedy Connection in Boston. 20 minutes of his routine was swaying back and forth, staring at three 18 year old girls sitting up front as he kept repeating, “Imma get my dick sucked tonight.” One of their mothers was in attendance. Like I said, genius.

I worship tracy morgan. while I’m pretty much anti-comedy (or at least of the last 10 years…yawn) his shit is beyond funny and I’d actually shell out the fifteen clams to see that film. I keep on praying that he comes back to NYC to do some stand-up!

He definitely is a comedic genius. Even if that observation is rooted squarely on his inability to function as a well adjusted human being in everyday life.
Dude is crazy.
Bat shit crazy.
Like Mike Tyson crazy.

I couldn’t agree with you more inre: The Genius of Tracy Morgan. I missed most of his SNL run, but after seeing the first 2 seasons of 30 Rock like a dozen times apiece, I’m convinced that he’s less crazy and more a finely-tuned comedy robot. Somehow, his shit is the absolute stupidest and smartest, the blackest and whitest, and the most innocent and filthiest all at the same time.
Eureko! I smell a scientific approach.

please believe that this is the funniest thing you will ever hear in your life –
tracy morgan on – the sobriety of superheroes, captain kirk getting high, papa smurf doing hard time, throwback shorts, and so much more.

I just saw tracy last night at his return to the comedy connection in boston. his standup was a bit disjointed and focused on the intricacies of boning- his best work is yet to come.
also, he does a good rendition “what a fool believes” by michael mcdonald
