the caps are clicking on all cylinders right now like the pens were this time last year. the pens need to get their act together like right now. they’ve looked way better since the interim coach stepped in but it’s not enough, they’ve been out of the playoff picture like all season. get crosby a scoring winger that won’t pull a hossa in the offseason and maybe some magic will happen. Renney was 164-121-42 with the Rangers. The Rangers had dropped to 31-23-7 after a stretch in which they lost 10 of their past 12 games, slipping to sixth place in the East after starting the season winning 10 of 13.

The future of the franchise was set up to be Alexei Cherepanov. When he died in October, it was a big blow to Sather’s future team after all the changes from last year’s team.
