Extra Butter Does It Again!

No one is untouched by the current economic downturn, and it’s forcing both established shops and recently opened ones to start shuttering their doors all across our country. While we never could have predicted this economic collapse, we’ve long suspected that a large number of new stores opening across the U.S. would probably not last more than a couple of years. Why? Because most stores (both the new & the established) never bothered to nurture any sort of homegrown community around their stores, the brands they carried, or the culture itself. Had they, perhaps they would have a better chance of getting through this recession.
Extra Butter in Long Island is the complete opposite. Since they first opened last year, I’ve been floored by the community they’ve created around their shop and the way they care about and nurture every brand they carry. From parties and events to movie nights, they’re much more than a retail space–they’re very big about giving back to the scene they love and that supports their business. They should be the model for EVERY streetwear boutique across the country.

Extra Butter currently has our Hallelujah Spring 2009 2nd delivery in stock and, as always, they’ve gone the extra mile by shooting their own look-book! Keep an eye out for NY Hardcore legend Kent of No Redeeming Social Value and even our own L’amour Supreme up in the mix. They really go out of their way to connect the brands to their customers… something that is sorely missing these days.
