Things I Own: Ooze-It
I bought this little bad boy when I was working at this pop-culture store called POPULUXE in Orlando, Florida. I sort of freaked out when my boss Brian had brought it in. Years earlier, I found this little rubber alien toy at a flea market. I had no idea what it was, I just knew it was badass! After seeing the illustration, I knew exactly what I had, a loose Ooze-It! (I can’t find the loose version, I think he might be over at 350 Broadway in the display case)
Patent Pending, eh? I wonder if the Ooze-It Corporation ever go the patent for a little rubber alien dude that when you squeeze him slime comes out of his multiple orifices. I wonder?
Mine is sealed, but boy do I wish I could open this lil creep, fill him up with toxic slime, and watch him ooze!
“Ooze compound sticks to hair, rugs, and fabric” Oops…

Yeah I aquired one from a magic shop in th early eighties, burned it as a troubled youth. Then I came accross one on ebay, the guy form “strecharmstrongworld.com” sniped it from me. He claims there are 5, and he has 2 of them-pompus. I eventually found one- sealed cost me like $155. I opened it, they are made to be fully enjoyed. I made a poor quality youtube vid of it- just type in ooze-it
enjoy

yea there at least 6. I emailed that dude a picture almost a year ago and he never posted it. He also says that its worth $600-1000 when they pop up on ebay for around $150-200.

Obviously he doesn’t know what he is talking about, just likes to pretend.

Back in 1984, a co-worker had one. It was made by the Ooze-It Corporation of New Orleans. What amazed us so much about it was the fact that apparently someone created a wholly independent startup company solely for the purpose of making and selling that doll.

There’s a LOT more than 6 floating around. I owned at least 5 at one point. As a matter of fact, I sold Ben his. Glad he opened it too. They were meant to be played with. Oh and by the way, OI was actually out of Metairie, LA and there is a real creepy story behind the supposed origin of this doll. Nuff said.

It doesn’t say so on the box, but ooze it was actually made by imperial. It has the imperial logo on the ooze bottle.

Nevermind what I said about imperial, I think they actually just recycled imperial bubble bottles because the bottles say 1975, and the ooze it box says 1981, and imperial bubbles still have 1975 on the bottle.

Only 5 in existence my a**. I remember these at my local flea market in the 80′s. Seemed like every vendor was selling them.

Anyone have one of these for sale? The douchebag on eBay has one at his fake, inflated price.
Anyone wanna sell for a realistic price? (under $200)

I have an ooze it that I bought when I lived in New Orleans in the 90s. I’m ready to sell him. He doesn’t have his box or the ooze but he still has his yellow plug. Boxed unopened ooze-its are selling for $300 and up on ebay. So I’m thinking I’ll sell him for $200. If anyone is interested you can email me at heyyou (@) creativebrainstorm (dot) com.
