Who’s Coming Back From Comic Con in 2-D Love?
Reality is tough. And relationships with breathing humans can just be the pits. So why not fall in love in 2-D?
This here is Nisan and Nemutan. Nemutan is a pillow. Nisan met her at a comic book convention and has been in love ever since. Nisan says “When I die, I want to be buried with her in my arms.” I wonder what Nemutan thinks about this.
The guru of the 2-D love movement, Toru Honda, has said “Pure love is completely gone in the real world. As long as you train your imagination, a 2-D relationship is much more passionate than a 3-D one.”
I don’t know about you guys but I’m done with humans. Get me a pillow boyfriend now!

Every mean molecule in my body wants to burn that pillow while he watches. I don’t hate him for it really, I just want to see someones reaction while they watch their loved one burn without having to take an actual life.

When you get to thinking about it, how much longer will it be before we’re all like that? We rate our popularity by how many “friends” we have on Facebook and how many people are interested in our Tweets. We chat with close personal friends through IM and webcams and we keep our families up to date on how we’re doing through our blogs. We live alternate lives through popular MMO’s and become different people entirely through our gamertags. We regularly use online porn to get us through those dry spells or fantasize about being with people we’ll never meet. I’m pretty sure everyone’s seeing it more and more at parties and get-togethers where people are hunched over their iPhones angry about who said what online instead of interacting with the people around them.
