Review: Gorgoroth – Quantos Possunt Ad Satanitatem Trahunt

Gorgoroth – Quantos Possunt Ad Satanitatem Trahunt (2009) [Regain Records] // Grade: F
Not even Pest and Tomas Asklund could save this album. It’s so horrible. I feel like I’m listening to one of those Youtube covers of a pre-2006 Gorgoroth album.
If you weren’t aware, Gorgoroth split up in 2007. Gaahl and Infernus fought over keeping the name Gorgoroth for their new bands. Rather than actually ending the dispute and forming two separate bands, the two kept the name and continued to perform live with different bands while still using the name. Well, that is until March 2009 when a court declared Infernus as the rightful owner of the name Gorgoroth.
Confusing I know, but it’s the back story you needed to hear. After all that pissing and moaning, Infernus finally released Quantos Possunt Ad Satanitatem Trahunt, which translates to “Pure Norwegian Bullshit Music”. Infernus claims he had been working on this album since 2006, after his parole from prison for playing with matches in a Norwegian church.
It’s no Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam or Under the Sign of Hell and it’s definitely not worth the purchase

I don’t agree… Gaahl’s and King’s music was horrible, finally Gorgoroth are reborn! Of course, they’ve taken their music to a new level, which is good!
Ad Majorem… is the worst Gorgoroth’s album!

So first off, Infernus didnt fight with Gaahl over the name, it was King ov Hell who tried to steal the name from Infernus. Is this really supposed to be a review of the album? You didn’t mention the sound once. You don’t know a fuckin’ thing. God Seed (king and gaahl’s new band) is officially on indefinite hold because of Gaahl retiring from metal music. Maybe they couldn’t pick up steam without a band name they tried to steal.
Fuck you

LuLz… Ok here “the sound sucks”. Gaahl is retiring because he makes better money in the fashion industry.

Quantos Possunt Ad Satanitatem Trahunt and the new Immortal “All Shall Fall” are incredible. You don’t make Black Metal for money! So your above statement that Gaahl can make more money in the fashion industry shows that you are a poser, that and the gay fashion pics truly hilarious stuff but fun. It would be interesting for you to explain why you even listen to black metal but to each his own. Ralph Lauren is not Black Metal. You appear to be just another new age materialist how boring.

Drink Prolly’s poseur blood!!! Drink it!!!! Fuckin Hipster!! How dare he speak ill of the Black Metal!
Also I’m pretty sure Ralph Lauren is pretty Black Metal. Didn’t he used to play bass in Emperor for a few months?
P.P.S. THIJs III: would you like to be a regular contributor giving u the Black Metal take on what sucks and why Prolly is a poseur?

It’s only your subjective opinion with no reason. Where is a review?
