Mika Miko LA’s DIY princesses have decided to call it quits after 6 years together. They, along with homies No Age helped to create the DIY art and music community in Los Angeles which was centered around the all ages venue The Smell. The band says that there is no bad blood or in fighting its just that they just all have things going on in their personal lives, be it relationships, school or other projects that just demand more of their attention.

While he band released the terrific We Are Xuxa earlier this year, they plan on playing at Austin’s Fun Fun Fun Fest on November 8th, releasing one final 7″ and setting up one last show at The Smell before closing the book on Mika Miko.

It was a fun ride and some great records while it lasted.
