Harmony Korine’s Trash Humpers

Just found about this movie and I am psyched. I’m a huge fan of Korine’s “batshit crazy” films like Gummo and Julian Donkey Boy and his wild writing styles for Kids and Ken Park. I was a tad let down by his last film Mister Lonely, it was good but lacked the edge of those earlier movies.
So it is real good to see that he is back in the saddle for his latest film, Trash Humpers. The film centers around a “loser-gang cult-freak collective” living around Nashville. Shot using a lo-fi, VHS system, the film is made to look as shitty and creepy as possible. The film apparently took just 4 months to make from principle photography to its first screening at the Toronto Film Festival. Check out the trailer below to get a feel for what the film will probably be like.
