Sons of Anarchy Re-Up: Fa Guan

Yes Bobby, I would love some of your banana bread. I enjoyed that little nod to Bobby’s domestic talents.
Charming seems like a small town and it must look like a fucking warzone by now, right? Kurt Sutter and his creative team are doing an incredible job this season of just completely sending SAMCRO on a downward spiral. Instead of one explosive death of the MC, we’re treated to an intensely slow burning drama – just the way I like em. Throughout this episode, you can physically see Jax looking more and more like he’s about to explode. This culminates in his declaration of becoming a “nomad.” I hope they explain more in the next episode what exactly that means.
Without taking anything away from the scorching Jax and Clay power struggle, this episode belonged to Opie. From his reaction to being kissed by Lyla to him going mental on the judge, actor Ryan Hurst was tremendous in every way. Shoving the gun in the son’s mouth and screaming “Is this how you take care of your family?” at the judge was one of the most emotionally intense moments of the series for me. Seeing this causes Tig to curl up and rock like a infant, another subtle whallop. This scene closed with Jax and Opie sharing a quiet, reflective smoke on the porch. So nice.
My roommate brought a good point about Zobelle being basically an untouchable super villain so far. He’s been bee-bopping and scatting all over the police and SAMCRO since his arrival in Charming. We’re deep enough in the season for some kind of snag in his armor to be exposed…
If you haven’t, you should definitely check out creator Kurt Sutter’s blog. He’s a hardass in real life and has a bitching game collection:

“A Nomad’s territorial rocker, however, will simply say “Nomad”. This means that they hold no particular allegiance to a specific club chapter, but should be respected and accepted nationwide”
I think its pretty obvious to everyone Jax or Clay have got to go. It also looks like from the preview of next week Gemma is bringing up something of John’s ( Jax’s father) death not being an accident, so maybe she is ready to get up and leave too, after her “revival”
Also, not to be a spoiler, but what was Tig holding and crying in a field. My gf said it was a puppy, but after watching it a few times it looked maybe like a ripped up denim vest?
I have to say this was my favorite episode of the season and I cant wait for the finale.

Thanks for the nomad tip!
It was definitely an article of clothing Tig was clutching. Some kind of club vest would make sense. But whose?!?!?
The club has to seriously become legit divided or either Jax or Clay have to die. I’m with you on that.

I had a hard time getting into this episode. I felt like I was missing something the whole time, but that might just have been the flu. Did they ever figure out who was behind the set-up of the Caracara Girls and Darby’s guys with the whole prostitution thing or was that just left out in the breeze? And weren’t Darby and Chuck still in Caracara when Zobelles guys set it on fire? There was no mention of bodies what-so-ever when they were there the next day.

Pretty sure the Nomads are an affiliated MC.
