Chronic Youth is a collective and website that thrives on marrying all the killer hardcore, metal and fucking heavy shit that needs to be brought to the forefront once again. Far from another group of DIY promoters or some webzine, CY is a family of bros trying to make some shit happen in NYC and beyond. Chronic Youth promotes and DJs some of the gnarliest shows and provides the most exclusive content featuring all of the bands, producers and weirdos that have inspired us since we were kids. We’re happy to call Chronic Youth our friends and sponsor many of their shows.

They put together this mix for us called Fast N’ Loose which embodies all that is Chronic Youth. it’s not a mix that exclusively showcases ‘core dudes with windbreakers, longhairs that worship Carcass or depressive black metal freaks. This is a collection of tracks that brings together all of the forward-thinking, misanthropic and PMA-driven bands that make us want to party. The spirit of hardcore, the way it should be, is alive and well.
