So I get the sense that like me, the early trainwreck that was Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and just having better things to do at 12:30am has kept most of you away from watching the show. Personally I was never a big fan of Jimmy Fallon’s, so I never had any interest in giving the show a chance and spending  Mon-Fri. night watching him try and keep a straight face as he delivered bad jokes.

But I stumbled home boozy and flipped on the TV to discover a few late night gems. At first I thought it may have been a fluke but then last night’s Holiday Gift Wrapping Guide (see video above) evoked enough laughs out of me that maybe, just maybe the show has found it’s groove and some good writers. Sure it’s a bit Tim & Eric(y) but so what?

This above clip from late November (which I’m sure slowly and surely is making the rounds) aws the first sign that the show might be coming into it’s own. Jimmy Fallon doing an impersonation of Neil Young covering the theme song from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. If you haven’t seen it yet the chuckles are definitely worth the 3 minutes of our life it’ll eat up.
