The Knife, in collaboration with Mt. Sims and Planningtorock, are set to release the opera’s 2 CD studio version on March 1.

No word as to whether the discs will include any of Hotel Pro Forma’s rad visuals, but trust me: the music stands just fine on its own. Olof Dreijer reportedly spent some time grabbing field sounds in the Amazon, and Karin Dreijer-Andersson’s signature vocals are just weird enough to offset an equally weird concept. If first single “Colouring Pigeons” is any indication, we’re looking at another incredible addition to the Dreijers’ nearly flawless collective catalogue.
