Pendu Presents Horror Scores For The Dancefloor This Tuesday w/ Light Asylum

01-12-10-flyer

Here we go, another edition of Horror Scores For The Dance Floor! The best in dark disco and electro-synthpop this side of the grave! Along side resident djs Harrison and Jeralyn, there will be live performances by Led Er Est and Light Asylum!

Led Er Est was formed in early 2007 and composed tracks drawing from the dire textures of first-wave industrial music, the craftsmanship and ambience of postpunk and cold-wave, and the primal kineticism of old school house and techno; they’re live performances can be alienating by the occasional lack of structure yet they emanate a rooted raw energy.

Light Asylum, a NYC based duo, one man on keys and drum machines and one woman on vocals. Shannon Funchess, known for her collaborations with !!! and Telepathe, has an enormous operatic voice. On “Shallow Tears,” it’s as though she is trying to summon storms. Bruno Coviello, manning the backing beat, has a fascination with the druggy, despondent synthesizers of mid-’80s science fiction.
