As another day winded down at 350 Broadway, it quickly picked back up when people began to file in one-by-one to get their first peak at the latest art opening. Goblin: A Print Series By Jon Vermilyea brought in a large crowd to 350 Broadway. Some were there because they saw the flyer online or received an email invitation, but there were enough random party-goers shuffling in and out that were simply drawn in by the sick window painting and the prints on the wall.
Soon after we had ourselves a packed house, full of Jon Vermilyea fans, Мишка fans, and local Williamsburg socialites who never turn down a chance to party and free drinks.
A lot of Jon’s closest friends, family and fans came out to get a first hand look at his latest work.
The series is comprised of 8 smaller and 2 larger hand silk screened prints filled with some out the most demented creatures to ever grace (and not grace) the Goblin series. For all of you fans clamoring for more Goblin, this is your chance to own a few of your favorite concoctions from the series that were illustrated by Vermilyea.
A couple of Мишка store locals Scrilla and Weez made their way down for the opening to catch up, politic, and knock back some drinks while trying get to get the scoop on when the Мишка Spring collection is dropping.
After a few Colt’s Gill was asking herself; to be or not to be… crunk. She chose to be.
Our very own Ease DaMan and one of the Мишка Youth, Aven stopped for a quick flick after checking out the show. Don’t let this pic fool you, these are two sweet hearts, really sweet.
The store’s chandelier fabricated by Adam Wallacavage is just a another piece of art the surrounds us on a daily basis. And no, it never gets old looking at it day after day… it remains an awesome little touch I get to enjoy seeing on the daily hear at 350.
And as usual we had the refreshments flowing all night with the Colt 45′s on deck.
The crowd kept their eyes busy as they bounced back between wildly captivating prints in the gallery and the neat knickknacks that our hidden in every crevice of 350 Broadway.
To compliment Jon’s awesome print series we also dropped two limited edition tote bags and a few limited edition Goblin t-shirts made specially for the event. So for all of you Goblin fans out there: you can still get your fix of Goblin tee’s, but they’re only a few available so get your grubby hands on a tote or tee before they’re all gone again!
And the man himself, the noble and talented, Jon Vermilyea. Jon’s been working with Мишка since the “we operate out of a storage closet” days. We’re ecstatic to see all of the attention he and his work have been starting to get as of late and YOU should grab a piece of while it’s still affordable! For those of you who can’t make it to Brooklyn, we’ll have a few tees and prints up in our online store early this week.
