The Soviet Super Soldier Defends Мишка Tokyo!
So for those of you clever enough to check Lamour Supreme’s flickr stream, this image won’t be all that new… but then again how many of you are obsessive Kaiju junkies (excluding Hateball)? For those of you who have visited (or have seen photos) of our Brooklyn shop, you’ll no doubt be familiar with the giant Cyco Simon head that lives in-store.
Well, Tokyo is getting a gigantic Soviet Super Soldier Bear head as a compliment to the Simon in NYC. Like Simon, this head is sculpted by Lamour Supreme, who has truly outdone himself with this sculpt. No picture even comes close to capturing how crazy and gigantic this head is…nor reveals all the little easter eggs Lamour has hidden throughout the sculpt. These photos were taken when the head visited our Brooklyn shop before being shipped out to Tokyo.
Speaking of Tokyo, here is Lamour Supreme inside Мишка Tokyo, working hard on a mural for the shop. This Swami Simon mural is a reverse take of the Swami Devil Head mural that we have inside 350 Broadway. So If you’re in Tokyo on March 6th, please come by the shop and check out both Lamour’s giant Soviet Super Soldier head and this mural… plus meet the man, the legend, the toy ruiner in person! Maybe if you’re lucky, he’ll even ruin customize some vinyl for you on the spot. Then you can take it to Mandarake and flip it for some bank!

Seen it! Can’t imagine being that close to Mandarake on a regular basis! I actually took note of a SINGLE KW sticker I found while in Tokyo this last time…it was at Hachiko Crossing. Plans to post it tomorrow. I’m sure that’s gonna change though!

Lamour is without a doubt one of the most talented men in any medium of art at the moment the soldier head is hands down one of the sickest things ive ever seen.
