Fear of a 12th Planet: Supercharged Evolution
Some say Planet X is the twelfth planet in our solar system, and a second renaissance of consciousness will overcome humanity when it returns to our orbit. What else is out there? In this Bloglin segment, we’ll delve into the most provocative theories and findings from the new age. Don’t call them conspiracies…and keep this between us. We don’t want to get tracked down by the New World Order!
In a recent human genome study, it was found that our species is evolving 100 times faster than any other period of evolution. A hyper exponential development is varying humans today from our 100-200 generation old ancestors at the genetic level. John Hawks, the anthropologist who led this study, attributes this supercharged evolution to population growth, agriculture, and resistance to disease.
John Hawks:
“What’s really amazing about humans, that is not true with most other species, is that for a long time we were just a little ape species in one corner of Africa, and weren’t genetically sampling anything like the potential we have now.”
Is positive selection the only attribute to this phenomenon in our civilization? Are we simply the majestic progeny of single celled organisms governed by the law of accelerated returns? The scientific community offer a resounding and unequivocal YES to these questions in their endorsement to Darwin’s Origin of Species…but they never acknowledge that Darwin himself never addressed the origin of the single celled organism (our lead image)…the very first life on this planet. The earliest evidence of single cell life from 3.85 billion years ago had the DNA gene expression system. A fascinating complexity from the beginning. Though attempted to be authenticated by Chemical Evolutionary Theory, this conundrum has yet to be solved. How do you get from chemicals to a living cell?
Dr. Stephen C. Meyer, former geophysicist, college professor and author of SIGNATURE IN THE CELL, advocates Intelligent Design from a scientific angle. In accordance with the evolutionary concepts of change over time or common ancestry, Meyers challenges that life at the cellular level is too complex and intricate to have miraculously appeared from such an enormous improbability. Even the notion that a single celled protein can develop in the equation of cosmology suggests design. This is no Judeo-Christian model…
Stephen C. Meyer on Coast to Coast
Meyer’s greatest piece of evidence is DNA, which guides and programs the cell, implanting its highly complex digital code with all the hallmarks of a intelligently designed operating system. He argues that the DNA is an exquisite form of organization, not a repeating order (time) or an irregular form of order (mutation). It’s like a language with sequence specificity. There is a precise message. His view on the elegance of DNA is akin to the perfection of a Shakesperean sonnet or software code, where the individual characters (letters, words, code script) aren’t repeating in an originally ordered way, but their arrangement is critical to that function of text.

What of the mind/body interface? Conscious? These properties of life remain a complete mystery to the materialism which the science community staunchly endorses. Meyer insists that consciousness is the fundamental forgotten entity in science. In regard to the religious implications which his ID theory may elicit:
Intelligent design in an inference from biological data not a deduction from religious authority.
Signature in the Cell by Stephen Meyer – Book Introduction
The most “simple forms of life” are run by this same biological DNA factory. Meyer breaks down the evolutionary hierarchy in terms of computer code:
You want to give your computer a new function? You need a new code.
You want to build a new form of live from a preexisting form? You need biological info.
Why?
Because you need specific specialized proteins. How do you build the protein?
You need the DNA.
Meyer cites Natural Selections own function as another one of his more compelling articles of ID’s presence.
Natural Selection operates on functional advantage. The smallest unit of functional advantage in life is new protein and difficult from random mutations to generate new proteins. It’s incredibly rare among the space of possible arrangements of amino acids…You’re more likely to stumble on gibberish in the human code than a balanced and evolved protein.
So if Intelligent Design is absolute, and we aren’t environmental happenstance, WHO IS THE DESIGNER? Even subscribing to Zecharia Sitchen or the Directed Panspermia theory doesn’t get us to the Primary Designer. It may take us back a few steps, closer to the origin point…but how can a being within the cosmos design the cosmos? What do you believe?
“I have never been an atheist in the sense of denying the existence of a God. – I think that generally … an agnostic would be the most correct description of my state of mind.”
-Charles Darwin 1879

Well, there is always a before and before that, another before. The common argument against that is “it always has been and always will”.
I love to hear the scientific community talk about what existed before the Big Bang. The hamster in your brain starts to burn out his wheel.

This is unreal! I’ve dismissed “god” and religion my whole life as make believe baloney. I’m now questioning everything I’ve been taught and am down with spirituality and the soul. I have an open mind to all religion and science. It’s like like the two practices need to unite to be able to explain some fairly important human curiosities.
I believe that our bodies are from the earth and our soul or life energy is from the cosmos… but wait the earth is from the cosmos, so it’s all from the cosmos. But I think that our conscious mind is quite separate from our physical body and reality.

They have it all wrong. The world was created by the Flying Spaghetti Monster. It’s His noodly appendage that makes airplanes fly, not all that silly empirically derived, evidence-based scientific nonsense about aerodynamics and propulsion. If you just believe hard enough, then FSM will make all your dreams come true!
