Alabama isn’t necessarily known for it’s Punk, so I wouldn’t hold it against you if it was one of the last places on earth you would find a band like Wizzard Sleeve… But Mobile, Alabama is where these guys call home. The good ole boys play the sort of fuzzed out Lo-Fi punk that were it not for their myspace page and songs like ” Alabama’s Doomed” I’d have thought they were Brooklyn natives.  But once you take a good listen to the bands dark and grimy punk jams, their southern upbringing starts to make sense.

The bands debut album Make The World Go Away was released on last year on HoZac Records who seem to make it their business in bringing the world the best in Lo-Fi Garage and Punk. The album is 11 tracks of dark, murky psych-punk that you wont be able to stop listening to.

The band has a handful of shows coming up in California so if you are in-or-around LA, San Francisco or Sacramento go check out a show get sketchy and make a mess of yourself! Hopefully Wizzard Sleeve is planning another trip out east soon so I too can get a lil’ rowdy with them.
