From the brainchild of Ollie Pile, James Dent and Daniel Brown comes the electronic calamity known as Bare Noize. A project focusing on evolving dubstep and pushing the genre way outside of it’s usual barriers by adding dance floor elements to the sound and movement to the tracks.

The duo first blipped on my radar last summer when their remix of Proxy’s “Dancing In the Dark” surfaced on the blogosphere. The second I heard it, I was hooked and just couldn’t get enough of it! I think the track intended to solve worldwide overpopulation by obliterating people at their core with huge punishing basslines. At the time of it’s release I was touring with the Crookers who immediately adopted the track as new found weapon throughout their summer sets which surely helped build the much deserved hype the UK duo began attracting.

Little did I know that Bare Noize were Мишка fans until I posted a track and mix of theirs in previous editions of Serious Saturdays and the guys promptly got in touch with me and opened the floodgates to many of the massive tunes they had been busy producing.

Recently, their track “Plant Food” was used as the soundtrack for a hard hitting Australian news piece called Meow Meow Madness about Mephedrone AKA Meow Meow, hence the use of their track referencing the drug. The reportage has some classic sound bytes and I suggest watching the whole thing.

Bare Noize also just finished a monster remix for “Stronger Now” by Lauren Flax & MK featuring Carrie Wilds on vocals. You can find this monster track on Flax’s Myspace and currently smashing dancefloors worldwide.
