Ahhh, when conspiracy theorists collide! I feel silly that while I was on my Alex Jones kick that I somehow missed that he interviewed Dave Mustaine this past December right around the release of Megadeth’s 13th studio album, Endgame. Now despite Alex’s praise and Mustaines willingness to accept it, Endgame is not one of Megadeth’s best albums. But it’s not really all that bad… Some choice riffage at times and it’s definitely better than most of his post-Youthanasia work.

Interspersed amongst questions regarding the new album, Alex and Mustaine get right into some NWO business… EMI making bombs, Oldsmobile supplying weapons to Nazis and Kennedy getting killed over the five dollar bill! Mustaine also at makes the awesome proclamation of “I-AM-METALLICA!” Take that Epic Beard Man!

I love Dave Mustaine, and while I don’t agree with him that his best songs and songwriting are still yet ahead of him… I love that he hasn’t lost his conceit in believing that they are. Classic Mustaine! Then Dave talks about the symbolism in the cover for Endgame and the challenges of making a bar code tattoo look cool. Some pretty deep shit, especially about Vic.

I know I’m ribbing on Mustaine a bit with this post, but he’s genuinely a pretty interesting and complex guy and if you were ever or still are a Megadeth fan, these are 20 minutes are pretty entertaining.

P.S. Dave hates Gwar. Go figure?
