Store Spotting: Just “That Dude”… Eric Koston!
I was hanging out in front of the shop the other week with one of our awesome employees, Natalie, having a random conversation about lemon thieves & jewelry hustlers when I turn my head and proceed to see one of my childhood heroes, straight up in the flesh standing right in front of the shop!
That person was the unmistakable Eric Koston. You know that guy from Girl, Fourstar, Lakai, Chocolate, eS, Crailtap & the L.A skatepark The Berrics… You know, Just some of skate cultures most pioneering companies, no biggie!
When I was a little lad in the mid-90′s, Eric Koston was not only “that dude” (along with Gino in my eyes), he was also someone a nerdy, mixed Asian kid from L.A like myself could look up to and emulate no matter how shitty I was on a skateboard. I was absolutely terrible at skating but I didn’t really give a fuck because most of my boys were dope (so I’d skate vicariously through them).
I loved pushing around Los Angeles, spending a quarter on DASH rides and doing strictly boardslides & 5050′s. OK, Enough rambling and reminiscing from me. A BIG thanks to Eric for introducing us to his beautiful little girl June & we hope you enjoyed the shop. Kick back and enjoy some of the old school videos above of Eric doing his thing, like only he can…Damn I miss the 90s!

Koston is the shit. I used to rock black and blue eS shoes back in the day and ride a Guy Mariano Girl deck. So sick.

Eric is probably bigger than Tony Hawk in my eyes. Great store spotting
