LOVE, SEX, FEAR, DEATH, VIDZ!!!!

Last week we brought you the recap from our Love Sex Fear Death party which included some rad photos of the night’s entertainment and attendees. Now thanks to our good friend Denman of All Our Noise we know have video for all of the performers to share with you.

First we up we have the legendary Genesis Breyer P-Orridge who is without a doubt one of the most interesting and enigmatic entertainers in history.

Sabbath Assembly opened the show performing traditional Process Church hymnals and ceremonies. The songs were strongly rooted in 60s psych and folk and were pretty entracing, epsecially with their outfits and the whole ceremony.

The band’s sound was the perfect vehicle for peaking the curiosities of a new generation to The Process Church.

Next up were Passions, who took the stage with an array of synths and sequencers. They mixed things up with a sound rooted in Post-Punk and Cold Wave without ever sounding revivalist.

Expect to hear a lot more about this NYC trio in the very near future.

Eerie and captivating are the two words that come immediately to mind when talking about a White Ring. These two are on the forefront of the whole “With House” or “Drag” movemen and are quickly (and deservingly) becoming one of the most recognizable acts in the genere’s emerging ranks.

This is definitely a set you need to experience for yourself that no video can do justice to. There was chill right down to your bone when these guys played and it was awesome.

Finally  San Diego Grave Wave sensations Blessure Grave took the stage after a short intro by Genesis. The band opened with one of their newest tracks “Parallel Lives” which is quickly becoming one of my favorite tracks  from them. Hopefully the song will see a proper release soon.

Blessure Grave is proving that they are in fact worth the hype and praise more and more music blogs are bestowing on them. Hard to believe this was the band’s first ever East Coast show. I have a feeling they will be back sooner or later and continue to bring us some of the best Death Rock, Post Punk, Grave Wave whatever youd like to call it.

It’s fantastic just how much of a growing interest there is in the sound in such a short period, people all the way from DC, Philly and Boston came to Santos just to see the show. I found this fantastic recap of the show and just general excitement over the growing “Darkness” from someone who came all the way up from DC for the show.

Thanks for posting the videos; it was an excellent night. Haha, yeah, that other article was me as well. I’m DC’s go-to, “that guy,” but I’m working on people here. Got a cold wave night coming soon. All of you should come down more, and help tip the scales. Kudos.
