Мишка Presents “Trillwave” by The Hood Internet
Trillwave is the newest mixtape from Chicago duo The Hood Internet. While their ongoing mixtape series has been built around genre-blending party starters, Trillwave is the soundtrack to the party after the afterparty or maybe to a sun-drenched backyard barbecue the next day. Drake sips iced tea with Beach House, Ice Cube cruises through South Central L.A. with CFCF riding shotgun, and Birdman and Lil Wayne share a blunt with Washed Out. If you’re still clueless to who The Hood internet are, these dudes make “The Best Mash-Ups This Side of the Web.” So go freshen up, download Trillwave, cop some Bacardi and get this party started.
ABX (pronounced like three consecutive letters) and STV SLV (pronounced “steve sleeve”) are collectively known as The Hood Internet. For the past three years, the duo have been chewing up the indie, pop, rap and R&B landscapes and spitting out pure fire. Like laptop-armed alchemists, they draw from their expansive interest in the many faces of modern music and re-imagine songs for mass public consumption through their site.
Nearly 400 mixes and literally millions of free downloads later, The Hood Internet continue to ricochet across North America like an Arkanoid ball, bringing their arsenal of reassembled tracks to crowded dancefloors. And the dance parties have definitely been ignited in every city they roll through, not to mention holding it down at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Monolith Festival, SXSW, CMJ and Canadian Music Week.
Having connected with so many musicians over the past few years, ABX and STV SLV have embarked on recording an album of completely new material–but in the spirit of Hood Internet’s fantasy-sports-league stylistic collabos, the album is bringing together many different musicians from as many different walks of sound, to create a modern collaboration made possible by the speed of the Real Internet.
In the meantime, there are always new mixes and mixtures on the way from The Hood, with original works and remixes filling the spaces in-between. A limited-edition 7″ of two brand new Hood productions featuring Chicago rapper Kid Static is slated to drop in Fall 2010. And so much more music on the way! All eyes on the Hood.

Casey: The file is perfectly fine, I just tested it. I don’t know what the reason for the issue you’re having is but I have encountered the same issue in the past when downloading Zips or Rars from filesharing sites.
The only advice I can give you is to either try another browser, computer or expander program… that sometimes does the trick. I don’t think it has anything to do with the actual file per-say, but how your machine or software is recognizing it.

The reason the file won’t open is the filename. Windows XP doesn’t recognise the characters in Mishka, just rename the file and it should work.
