Your’s Truly has been putting out some really excellent content lately.New to their site is this mini documentary on Gary, Indiana rapper Freddie Gibbs .Watch Freddie take the crew back to the streets he grew up on for five days and discuss his upbringing, hunger to succeed.  This is really great piece.

A large part of what makes Freddie Gibbs so special is his unique ability to uproot the listener and drop them right into his reality. To force your eyes open wider, even when what you see would make a grown man squirm. In this revealing mini-documentary, Freddie takes YT back to the decaying avenues of Gary, back in time to when he chose crime over a 9-5, down the rabbit hole into darkness and up to his decision to rap his way out of Gary for good.

If you’re still unfamiliar with Gibbs’ name, you won’t be for long. Dude’s been bringing back something nice and gully back to Hip Hop and it’s a breath of fresh air. Those of you in New York, Freddie Gibbs is playing S.O.B.s along with Black Milk tonite.
