Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm: Мишка Lunch Truck Day This Sunday!
With Summer 2010 quickly coming to an end, we here over at the Мишка Echo Park store have decided to end it with a crescendo of good times. While our Fall ’10 release party is being held on Friday August 20 @ The Echoplex, this coming Sunday August 15 from 12pm-4pm we are hosting our 3rd installment of the Мишка Lunch Truck Day at 1547 Echo Park Ave.
As usual, we have a few surprises in store and of course we have some amazing trucks on deck. The usual suspects of Vietnamese specialists Mandoline Grill & the Peruvian/Japanese awesomeness of Lomo Arigato have become a staple and they are on board for some kick ass times. For our 3rd food truck, we’ve added a very special guest. The good ole folks at Frysmith have turned fries into a delicacy of sorts. Real quick, they hand-cut Kennebec potatoes, fry them twice in canola oil, top it with an assortment of meats, cheeses and other goodies, all the while using ALL humanely raised & sustainably farmed ingredients. Pretty damn amazing right? Yea I thought so too… As for our desert truck to compliment all the awesome food, we got the bad ass flavors of Coolhaus to join in again for another round of architecturally-inspired ice cream sandwiches.
As for some cool twists, this Мишка Lunch Day will have a CRAZY guest appearance. Who you may ask yourself? Well, Greg Rivera co-owner of Мишка will be in town to massacre some LA food, hang out with our friends & neighbors and meet any of you fans out here in the Los Angeles area. Psssssss, on the low….he might bring a friend or two from the Mad Decent Block Party which is the day before. As for some quality shopping, we’ll have some final specials going down with select pieces of our Spring/Summer ’10 catalog. WAIT…The real kicker will be some select releases of our Fall ’10 New Era catalog! We have a limited size run so come check us out and literally be the FIRST to rock some of our Fall ’10 New Era lids.
Seriously, that’s how you go out of Summer with style right! And for those ready to send Summer off with an insane party, Brooklyn meets LA style, be sure to RSVP for free entry to our Fall ’10 release fiasco. Otherwise, you’ll have to pay a whole $5 at the door! Womp womp…
