Los Angeles: Мишка Fall 10 Release Party on Aug. 20th w/ Acid Girls, The Captain & Star Eyes!
All you Bloglin readers know by now that Мишка & crew are coming to Los Angeles, again, to celebrate the release of the Fall 2010 line. We’ve got an awesome line-up featuring some great bands and DJs to help us rage like never before. You know shit’s gonna get wild when the least coast meets the best coast. So over the next few days I’ll be profiling the performing acts so you can get in the KNOW before you get to the SHOW.
In the meantime if you haven’t we urge you to RSVP in advance for the party! The one in February got packed quick and we had to close the list off eventually. I mean it’s only a measly $5 if you don’t RSVP, but still…

Los Angeles’ own Acid Girls have had a rather interesting rise to fame… Back in 2006 Greg and Jamie decided to end Orange County’s dryspell by throwing some truly awesome dance parties. That then snowballed into a popular blog (called Acid Girls) and the duo eventually decided to take the reigns as DJs themselves. The next thing you know Acid Girls were the toast of the dance community!
While originally first recognized worldwide for their ability to turn a party out, Acid Girl’s have recently come into their own with widespread acclaim for their own productions and remixes. Don’t sleep on their debut 12-inch the Numbers Song released late last year by IHEARTCOMIX.
Acid Girls are probably the act I’m most excited to see. These dudes fucking rule. For the most part, Acid Girls have poppy tech-house kinda vybz, but they can also dig deep like no other. A few months ago I saw Greg (left) go back 2 back with LOL Boys in San Francisco and homeboyz played everything from 3ball to Lil Wayne, and it was all pretty amazing.
The next month I played in San Francisco with Jamie (right) and he got way deep with more 3ball, some Brenmar, and even some R ‘n’ B cuts. But when Greg and Jamie come together shit gets real mad, and hot So-Cal girls flock to the front of the stage. Bonerjamz!

The Captain and Star Eyes are practically our resident DJs at this point. Seriously, we ask either or both of them to DJ almost every party we throw here in New York for a reason! And we’re happy to share their magic behind the turntables this Friday with Los Angeles.
Trouble & Bass are eternal members of the Мишка fam, holding their Klubhaus down only 1.8 miles from 350 Broadway. They rep a truly unique brand of bass music, born in the motherland (BK, NY). And despite of our closness personally and geographically, the crew is making some of the most serious dance music E-V-E-R.
Catch these two dropping a wide variety of bass-laden jamz, from Doctor P to Drake.
These guys can be ecclectic as fuck live so while I won’t even try and guess what The Captain and Star Eye’s set will consist of this Friday, I can assure you it will have the Dancefloor of the The Echoplex close to caving in by the end of it. Check out the video above (courtesy of Glenjamn) of these two dropping a wide variety of bass-laden jamz, from Doctor P to Drake.
And finally opening the evening up is the dark duo of Sarah and Zane, collectively known as Killing Spree. You can expect some deep digging into the occult of Dark and Coldwave from these two.
Make sure you strike a pose and look your best for the evening as Caesar Sebastian floating around with his quick finger on the snap button; and don’t RSVP last minute! In the meantime please visit our Facebook event page for more info.
