Good god, i’ll break the ice! If I was asked this at any point between the late 90s and the early 00s I would have laughed at the thought of Warren G even coming close to the majesty of 93 ’til Infinity.

However the past couple of years I gave Regulate a real listen.. and not just whatever my memory recalled from it when it was originally released. I’ve grown to love that album and think after The Chronic and Doggy Style it’s really the only other G Funk era album that can be named in the same breath as those. It’s solid start to finish.

i thought the run-up to #100 in this series would be more exciting than the last 7 weeks.

I’ve blown my wad gearing up towards 100 way back at 70-something.

Listen to Live and Let Live while chillin’ on the beach and tell me its not 93 til all day…

Plus, “93 til Infinity” is one of the greatest album titles of all time in my mind. Perfect summation of the album.

There shouldn’t even need to be an explanation as to why Warren G’s G-Funk Era is clearly a winner. Listen to the album it’s a masterpiece from beginning to end.

  9. MLKshake Says:

warren g’s g funk era was and still is one of my favorite hip-hop albums of all time. i don’t know why it didn’t catch more heat in the 90s. the whole album is solid all the way through. i’ve never even bothered listening to souls of mischief. i guess i should probably check them out.
