I really like Curren$y, despite our hotly debated review of his new album Pilot Talk. Dudes got a great weeded flow and there’s no question he’s one of Hip Hop’s rising stars. What’s great about this clip is that Pitchfork asked him to freestyle over a beat from Gold Panda. Who’s Gold Panda you ask? Well that’s the exact same question Curren$y asks for the whole last minute of this clip, well that and go on for a bit about his name.

If you’re like Curren$y and have no clue who Gold Panda is go to his site and download one of his four free EPs. He a UK based producer who makes some pretty chilled-out tunage. He pitched in a remix on Health’s Disco2 that you may have heard and has a new album, Lucky Shiner dropping via Ghostly International on October 12th.  I’d actually love to hear more from Curren$y over Gold Panda. Dudes need to link up officially!
