Мишка Presents B.K. Scum: Works By Dust La Rock, Inspired by Psychic TV
In our continuing series of projects involving Psychic TV, we’re proud to announce that the next installment will be an art exhibition by Dust La Rock. Fool’s Gold co-founder, prolific graphic designer, illustrator, and all-around creative figure, Dust has worked his way to the top of the NYC art scene, with a style and presence that’s intrinsically tied to the city’s thriving culture of hip-hop and electronic music. Dust has been a Мишка friend and favorite for quite a while, even collaborating with us on last year’s goth/industrial Ov Curse mix. 2011, however, brings only bigger and better things. 350 Broadway will he host to Dust La Rock’s new show, B.K. Scum.
Borne of his fascination with Psychic TV, B.K. Scum promises to be an experience you won’t soon forget. Opening Friday, March 4th, B.K. Scum will showcase Dust La Rock at his finest. Using Psychic TV as a starting point, Dust has forged a world all his own. Dust’s focus and mastery of imagery, symbols, and the power of iconography fits in perfectly with the ethos of Psychic TV, and an intellectual collaboration between the two was near unavoidable. For the show, Dust has created prints and paintings, as well as a fully functioning Psychic Cross guitar. In addition to Dust’s art, the opening will also feature a reading from Genesis P-Orridge.
It wouldn’t be a Dust La Rock show without a musical element, and B.K. Scum will be no different. Collaborating with Trouble & Bass’ leading lady Star Eyes, Dust has created a brand new mix exclusively for the show. The B.K. Scum mix traces the musical history of Psychic TV, showcasing hits and rarities in equal measure with exclusive vocals from Genesis. We at Мишка will also be officially releasing our own Psychic TV capsule collection, as well as an exclusive B.K. Scum tee shirt, which will be available for purchase at the show.
B.K. Scum will continue our growing tradition of exhibiting artists whose work we feel captures our world while also evolving it. As one of the architects of bleeding-edge musical imagery, Dust La Rock is the perfect artist, and Psychic TV an inspired choice of subject. We couldn’t be more excited for the show, and Dust La Rock will surely exceed all our expectations.

What is the name of the song that comes in around 18:33? “Look at me.. here with you… hello baby and what’s your name? ”
Fabulous mix, though. Would have loved to see it.
