Canada’s beloved hardcore band Fucked Up weren’t invited to this years Coachella but it didn’t stop them from putting on a show not too far away from the ever popular music festival while debuting new material from their upcoming album David Comes to Life. Our buddy Matt Draper was there to snap some shots that we figured we’d share as there are no videos floating around on the interwebs.

The band’s new album is set to be an incredibly ambitious rock opera. Weird right? No weirder than the band releasing a fake compilation called David’s Town as a companion piece to the album last week for Record store day. It features Fucked Up backing up a variety of singers across 11 tracks aping late 70s and 80s English punk and post-punk. David Comes to Life comes out on Matador records on June 7th
