Have you been wondering what an experimental film might look like if it was directed and produced by Mater Suspiria Vision’s shadowy figure, Cosmotropia de Xam? Well ponder no further because the occultists of Mater Suspiria Vision have exorcised a fifteen minute video succubus that gnaws away at one’s sanity until nothing remains. Known for their mix and match music videos, reconstructions of cryptic cult cinema clips, MSV has now cast a different spell. Lussuria is a demoniac that takes control of the body of a beautiful woman morphing over inhuman growls and moans from the netherworld. The nameless victim goes through slowed down contractions and exhibits freakish oral movements.

It’s the inorganic aspect to the clip that brings a chill to my spine and something else, something breathing, rooting, and peering in the surrounding blackness that instills an undoubted fear in those that watch. Simplicity and the purposeful obscuration of setting and other characters allows for tension to steadily climb with nothing to break it, nothing to divert attention. I think these guys should be making full lengths, they’d take the horror film industry by storm with sick visions and gut-wrenching camera tricks. MSV is the metamorphosis of a bad dream to a straight-up night terror, bringing to witch-house a touch of evil.
