Oh, what a nice surprise. Just some days ago, five to be exact, I posted Poor Spirits’ whacked-out video for their song VVOVV and now we catch him floating around the store. Is this an unusual coincidence or did 1/2 of the mystifying tropical synth team pay an extra special visit to our Broadway location to inversely show his support for us. The expression on his face tells me it was a little bit of both, a healthy mixture of surprise and quiet appreciation.

Poor Spirits puts out some straight-up bangers that’ll make your shy, twee girlfriend drop down and get her eagle on. They’ve been teasing an EP drop on their twitter all day yesterday and it’s making me itch in places only their crawling beats can scratch.

You can check out their portfolio here as it features a nice variety of dancey, electro-strangeness to be officially released on their upcoming EP along with remixes they’ve done for other tracks, including Busta Rhymes’ “Dangerous” and Missy Elliott’s “Supa Dupa.” This week Seanamazing, I guess that’s what I’m calling him now, blew his cover in a big way and we’re sure glad he did.
