The #SEAPUNK Wave Rolls ON and On and On…
Since my last write up, which showcased the burgeoning lifestyle movement known as #seapunk to the world, there have been a few significant updates with Coral Records (the DIY label started specifically to release artists within the #seapunk multiverse), mostly being that there is just a steady stream of good music being released, and the fact that #seapunk is turning into something of a dangerous, real life phenomenon.
All jokes aside, there does seem to be something about #seapunk that is resonating within the global consciousness, as its music and aquatic messages of optimism are reaching hearts and minds all over the world. I was even asked by Mishka to write more about #seapunk here on the bloglin because the last post about #seapunk was so popular! With that being said, let’s get to what actually matters: the music.
Coral Records just released the Soaked EP (Splash003), which is a split between two Kansas City producers, API and Papoose. On sort of a tranced out cyber-juke robo-trip tip, this release is completely next level and a real game changer. API and Papoose come out of the same rural dance music scene as producers like Huerco S. and Indigo Bunting, who were both featured on the now classic Seapunk Volume 1 compilation.
Upcoming releases include Splash004, which will be a Split between Indigo Bunting and JAM. JAM, along with Fire For Effect, co-produced the brilliant new SSION record, “Bent.” Splash005 will be a release by Curtis Vodka doing some real heavy drum-n-bass and jungle vibes. In the meantime grab a really rad mix by Curtis Vodka HERE. So KEEP WATCH for more #seapunk updates and dont forget to pick up a Coral Records t-shirt and oversize pin to show your #seapunk support!
And just for fun, here’s a free download of my ”Post Physical (Fire For Effect’s Post Grave Remix)“. I am biased of course, but it is amazing.

wow more pointless attention for a bunch of trendhopping pieces of shit. Shan Beaste/Zombelle is like 30…this 90′s shit isn’t even ironic for her she’s just reliving her glory days with a bunch of fools who want to be on the first wave of something cool. When seapunk leaves this insular group of self congratulating twitter friends, let me know.
