Part short-short film, part music video, part hallucination, the new animated video for Trash Talk‘s “Slander” is one of the best videos I’ve seen all year! Dubious honor! Seriously though, it’s good. With the song itself coming in at under a minute, the California hardcore band decided to pad it out with some drug-takin cartoon shenanigans.

The animation was so distinct I was sure that someone from Adult Swim was behind it, but animator Jim Dirschberger is, sadly, not currently bringing his grotesque wares to the boob tube just yet. Perhaps after this video. I’d also like to point out that this video pretty accurately captures what going to a Trash Talk show is really like. In a good way.
