Most people have hobbies. Some people have obsessions. Then some people, like Michael Sullivan, have something else. A singular and unique task that can consume you for decades. Some of you may already be familiar with Sullivan and his work, or maybe even seen some of his movies. This year Sundance will see the premiere of Meaning of Robots, a documentary about Sullivan and his work. I recommend you watch the teaser above before moving on to the second paragraph, because the gleeful twist, if you will, is not worth spoiling.

He makes robot porn! Awesome! Taking one page from Fritz Lang, one from Jan Svankmajer, and then one from the sticky reams of smut, Sullivan has been tirelessly working on his movie, Sex Machines, since before the new millenium. I gotta say, the robots look crazy amazing. Even the horse with the “fuckable butt.”
