Pictureplane Sculpts With Black Marble
Round these parts we’ve been bumping the debut EP from rising Brooklyn synthwave outfit Black Marble real heavy. These two gents, Ty Kube and Chris Stewart are about to get big with their bleak, minimal, arresting music. Do yourself a favor and grab the MP3 version of their debut, Weight Against the Door, out on Hardly Art now.
But you know what makes good things even better? Why, Pictureplane of course! Monsieur Egedy took album opener “Pretender,” and brought his special style of driving rave sensibilities to the already killer track. The result is “Pretender (Pictureplane’s Open the Door Remix)” and it’s premiering right here, right now, exclusively on The Bloglin. Awww yeah.
Black Marble’s Weight Against the Door comes out on vinyl on February 14th, so be sure to pick up a copy or two for your best gal!
