So I’m kind of of two minds about this trailer I’ve posted above. On the one hand, it looks awesome. Though it purports to be about heady themes or whatever, I assume it’s really as shallow as can be, which is totally cool with me. There’s a bar underneath my apartment that just plays old late 60s early 70s psycho-sexual-action exploitation farce movies on loop, old awesome stuff like Candy and Murderer’s Row.

This flick looks totally in line with that, like purely aesthetic Kubrick-lite kitsch. On the other hand, I’ve been hearing about this movie for like 2 years now, and it’s just gotten distribution and a trailer (a good trailer though). That is usually not a good sign. Nevertheless, Beyond The Black Rainbow will be on VOD and in limited theater run soon.
