We’re All Up In Yung Yadi’s Wonderland

Here’s new visuals for a brand new Yung Yadi song “Wonderland” produced by Tedy Brew$ki (who produced her song “Hella Wett”). Yes, Yadi did just drop her Grippin Tha Grain tape, but she already has another one in the works! The next tape is the “XxX” tape Yung Yadi After Dark coming soon. On “Wonderland” Yadi tells a story about having sex in a psychedelic paradise and it’s pretty awesome.  I love the little details like when she says when she says “Woke up had some leaves in my hair and shit.” And she makes a reference to the rare game Parasite Eve.

Tedy’s beat is both really epic and kind of creepy, too. There’s this crazy snyth noise that’s almost X-files intro swag. But then, when the hook comes in there are these huge horns. I think that’s fitting for an Alice And Wonderland inspired song. Alice In Wonderland has always kind of creeped me out, but also been about weird fairytale regal stuff so fanfare horns seem appropriate. Like a lot of Yadi’s videos, this is a video made up of found footage. Of course it includes shots of Yadi’s hero Bettie Page as well as clips from an Alice In Wonderland game I don’t actually recognize. It’s obviously very rare. Even rarer than Parasite Eve I guess.

I’m very psyched to hear Yung Yadi After Dark. I believe it’s coming very soon…
