Astrolith: Face Melting Food For Thought

We all love food. Some throw the word “foodie” around, but every damn person on earth loves food. I think the only difference between a regular food eater and a “foodie,” is a foodie talks about what they consume. I, only the other hand, am so engrossed in a Chipotle burrito that I can’t talk to or look at anyone during my consumption. Half-way through I’m upset because like all good things, it will end and I want more. Sometimes I order two for the road and steal half empty bottles of Texas Longhorn Smokey BBQ sauce and use it as cologne. Judge me all you want, it won’t change my behavior.

But I digress. I have an urgent announcement: Astrolith has food you can use. If you don’t already know the Brooklyn-based big bass boss Astrolith, then you’ve been missing out some really hard, original, off-the-wall techno/electro/bass/wonky/whatever-you-want-to-call-it-it’s-just cool beats. Last month he dropped his second EP, Utility Food, on the mysterious and mystifying Space is the Place Records. On his latest release, Astrolith takes the club to mechanical and maximal levels. All I have to say is, if Dr. Robotnik made a sex tape, this would be the soundtrack.

Check out his latest release, and be sure to catch him in the coming weeks on the best, live streaming NYC bass music radio show, Noise212. Now go lace up your fine-dining power gloves and dig into some Utility Food.
