Are spooky mixes not the best? When I was a little kid my Mom would always play Halloween CD’s of creepy music and sounds in the house for like half of October. Typing that out makes it sound vaguely strange, but it was awesome! Even when Christmas came I wasn’t about that chestnut life, I just wanted to go back to like “Graveyard Interlude” or whatever the fuck else. That’s why I like our “Grim Harvest” mix so much, and also the Chiller series from Chill Mega Chill Records.

Started last year, The Chiller is an annual Halloween themed mix. This year’s installment, House On Haunted Chill, is 24 tracks of spine tingling, Vincent Price pleasing tunes. Some already released, some brand new, all from CMC affiliated artists. This year they even put together a 100 page zine to accompany it called HallowZine. Check it out here.
