Judging by the high view counts, I’m sure some of you will be delivering me a #latepass for this, but my discovery of the highly unsettling Nextraker YouTube channel cannot go unmentioned. I was sent the video on top by my friend Zachg with the subject line “wild ass YouTube channel”, and that was nothing less than the perfect description. Filled to the brim with videos explaining various “pranks”, “hacks”, and “fun” “activities”, Nextraker is like the world’s most naive YouTuber as interpreted by Mark Danielewski.

The content is essentially innocent, and yet will make your skin crawl. While it’s full of mean pranks – like filling your ex-girlfriends hairbrush with assorted animal piss (what?!) or the Vomiting Pillow Gag (read: fill a pillow with shaving cream) – you get the feeling Nextraker has no one to perform these pranks on but himself. The Billy The Puppet style narration is the cherry on top of fun goofs like The Bleeding Pen, or silent horrors like How to Make A Bouncy Lightbulb. Which is just: wrap a lightbulb in a bunch of rubber bands. No, it doesn’t bounce. Yes, it will break immediately if you drop it. I fear sleep now, for when I close me eyes I see only those of Nextraker. May he be kind on my soul.
