What was the rave like under the rule of communist Russia? Did they even have raves out there? I know my European peoples tend to get down with that electronic music feel, more than us Yanks, but a correlation between communism and rave music is something research needs to be done on. I smell a masters dissertation.

Until that happens, there’s this animated video from Stereolove for “I Wish That”, which posits a totalitarian world freed by the power of electronic pop music. This was animated by the dudes over at Oh Yeah Wow, and looks like a mixture of Pink Floyd’s The Wall and some of the more drugged out sequences from Dumbo, but with more of a Stalin vibe—you know, for the kids.
