Common sense and experience tell us this movie will most likely suck. There’s no way you should be able to remake Evil Dead and have it make any sort of sense. With the very rare exception (e.g Dawn Of The Dead), horror classic remakes are always terrible, blatant cash grabs. But, like visiting an ex girlfriend on the late night creep, we have hope that this time will be different.

This Evil Dead remake by Fede Alvarez actually looks pretty decent, and by “decent” I mean “creepy as fuck”. It looks like dude went real heavy with the gore effects for this one, which is entirely cool. Let’s just hope that the actors are able to pull off some compelling performances between them getting hacked into pieces, or this shit will just look like a really bad version of the first 30 minutes of Cabin In The Woods.
